The days of being limited to a handful of fonts on the web are very close to being a thing of the past.
On May 19, 2010 Google announced announced that they have created a repository of free fonts that can be used on web sites.
The fonts in the Google Font Directory come from a diverse array of designers, including open source developers and highly regarded type designers.
We invite you to browse through the directory and get to know the fonts. Since they’re open source, they can be used for just about any purpose, including for print.
We’re hoping designers will contribute many more fonts in coming months to the Google Font Directory.
