Search Engine Ranking

Here is some information about your web site that may help your Search Engine Ranking

A Web page’s PageRank depends on a few factors:

  • The frequency and location of keywords within the Web page: If the keyword only appears once within the body of a page, it will receive a low score for that keyword.
  • How long the Web page has existed: People create new Web pages every day, and not all of them stick around for long. Google places more value on pages with an established history.
  • The number of other Web pages that link to the page in question: Google looks at how many Web pages link to a particular site to determine its relevance.

You likely have a few tools on your site to help with your Google Ranking. You can find them in the admin area of your site (Or contact e-motional web design for help)

StatPress – information about who has visited your site (including search engines), search terms used to find you and pages viewed

XML Sitemap – go to “Settings” on the left side of the admin area and scroll down the “Settings” – click on XML-Sitemap to see that information about your web site is automatically sent to Google

All in one SEO – also under the “Settings” tab – this program lets you edit the title of your web site as well as keywords – feel free to change the text in this area to suit you and your business.

-this program also allows you to enter some search engine terms on every web page of your site. Click on any of your pages in the admin area, try “Welcome” for example, scroll down and enter text into the section marked “All in one SEO pack”. The most important section in this field is the “Title” section. Here is a link to a video tutorial to help you with this program:
